Her practice spans painting and sculpture, through which she explores the intersection of memory, emotion, and the body. Working across oil on canvas, wood, bronze, and ceramics, she is particularly interested in how different materials carry distinct emotional and cultural resonances, often embedding narratives of tension, fragility, and latent violence.
Xinrou’s work is informed by a poetic and literary sensibility. Drawing from fragments of personal memory, reading, and writing, she constructs images and forms that hover between the intimate and the ambiguous.
